Microfiber

For an better and easier clean!

Make cleaning simple and effective.

Cleaning requirements are diverse at home and at work. What could make more sense than choosing one product for all your cleaning projects, a product that cleans with minimal effort and maximum results, and is safe to use -- for you and the environment? Buying a product that lasts a long time (over 200 washes in most cases).

Microfiber material is that product. It's here today!

An innkeeper with a green B&B told me about the best microfiber cleaning products she had ever found -- and she had tried lots of them. So I bought some to use around my house, and love this brand more than any I've tried too. StarFiber makes the best cleaning products I have found, to date.

The success of this microfiber is that it combines the capillary effect, friction, and static electricity to absorb ad remove dirt, dust, micro-particles, oils, and surface moisture. This description makes it sound like a miracle cloth, and that's about how I see it.

There are so many surfaces to clean with microfiber. Initially I used it only to wipe down counter tops, mirrors and shower walls, but now I also use it to clean my appliaces, cabinets, cars, sinks and faucets, floors (linoleum and vinyl, wood, and tile), ceiling fans, light fixtures, windows, crystal and silver, and even my face to remove makeup. I use it virtually throughout my house. Here are some of the experiences I've had.

  • Lint. It frustrates me to no end! Cotton is more absorbent than polyester and blends, but it can leave lint behind. And of course it's at its worst on mirrors and windows. Not an issue with microfiber cloths. And microfiber is more absorbent than cotton.
  • Dust and hair. My cotton rags moved dust and hair around but didn't really get rid of it. Dust was stirred up causing me to sneeze. My microfiber cloths trap the dust and hair and then wash up nicely, with the hair and dust going down the drain. Even shaking the mop pad off outdoors works well to clean the fiber.
  • Spots. Terry mop head covers for damp mopping hard-surface floors were a great discovery for me, though I still had to get on my hands and knees to scrub those little spots that inevitably collect on bathroom and kitchen floors. Not with my microfiber mop. And when the dishwasher doesn't remove all the mineral residue left from my vitamin drink, a gentle swipe with a microfiber sponge or towel cleans it right up.
  • Simplicity. Using various cotton rags, ranging from t-shirts to towels, means having to keep quite a supply on hand because they get too wet and dirty to be effective for long. My microfiber cloths and mops hold 3-4 times the amount of water, and thus dirt, so I don't have to have as many cloths to do the job. Six cloths/mop pads clean my 2,000 square feet nicely.
  • Quick and Easy. Elbow grease is no longer in high demand when it comes to housekeeping. Generally a spritz of water smooths the way for a quick wipe to remove dust, dirt, and stains. And if oil is the problem, a quick wipe takes care of it. But when the spot is really imbedded or attached, a spritz of my cleaning solution and a couple of wipes removes it. Once in awhile I'll actually have to scrub, but since I haven't had to scrub much I have the energy to do so. Burnt sugar came off a pan with a spritz of cleaning solution and three swipes of StarFiber. Sweet (please excuse the pun)!
  • Makeup Removal. Washing my face and drying with a microfiber cloth removes most of my makeup, and with no special cleansing creams. A little extra effort goes into removing my water-proof mascara, and I'm done.

Most StarFiber cloths can be used wet or dry and because of their design to grab dirt you don't need to use cleaning chemicals. But if you have a need to use them you can do so without a problem, and save money because you won't need as much product. But vinegar water and baking soda are just about the only cleaning "chemicals" you'll need. If you want something that seems a bit more industrial go with StainSolver and Enviro-One to complete your cleaning needs.

Buy individual products or packaged sets to get the best cleaning experience for your property or home. Simplifying your cleaning regime will make it go faster and be more enjoyable. Microfiber is the secret to a simple cleaning program.
